If you're ever in Emeryville, shopping at Ikea or places like that, and you get hungry, go to PF Chang's. PF Chang's is your typical Chinese restaurant. However, something above average is their fried rice. A fried rice dish really stood out and that was the Mongolian beef with fried rice. The sauce on the beef was salty, so I suggest a lot of rice to a piece of meat. The flavor is still there though. This dish came with a soup. I chose the wonderful wonton soup. Not only were there wontons, but also mushrooms and spinach. Also, if you have kids, they can order the kid's chicken. They can choose the sauce(like sweet and sour) that fits their taste buds. To wrap it up, PF Chang's is an excellent restaurant that represents good Chinese food.

One of the best thing about an Asian heritage is the food that restaurants like Shao Mountain serves. First of all, I absolutely love the the sauteed beef and seafood with crispy rice. The crispy rice gives the dish a great texture. Once dipped in the soup, the crispy rice becomes soggy but in a good way. In addition to that, the fried tofu with chili sauce in a clay pot is marvelous. The tofu has an amazing flavor infused in it and it is not too spicy despite the chili part of the chili sauce. However, the braised pork slices with preserve vegetables is not that enjoyable. There is something weird about it. That dish is the only bad thing about Shao Mountain. Let's talk about another wonderful dish, shall we? The lamb soup is great for those cold days. The Chinese herb soup with tender lamb and vegetables is just the best. To conclude, Shao Mountain is yet another wonderful Chinese themed restaurant that distributes fab food.
I'm glad that I caught this awesome seafood inspired restaurant known as Pacific Catch. To begin with, their appetizers are really delicious. I can eat sweet potato french fries anywhere and Pacific Catch is one of them. They're absolutely amazing. Moving onto entrees, there was a lot to choose from but I decided the good old Hawaiian teriyaki rice bowl. The chicken was pretty ordinary, nothing stood out too much, and there was too much rice(well, in my opinion). Plus, I thought that the grilled pineapples gave a good additional flavor to the dish. Don't worry, the seafood in this post is coming up right about... now! The grilled local sword fish had excellent flavor and a great sear mark. Also, the fact that the fish laid on a fresh bed of vegetables made the dish even more cool. In fact, if swordfish isn't your thing, try the seared ahi. Be careful though, this dish probably is only best for people who can eat raw things (i.e. not younger children :) ) All in all, Pacific Catch is a marvelous local restaurant where you and your family can go to enjoy seafood.
I've failed so many math tests, I lost count.
Keep on visiting Cute Diner for more posts! I have been a jogger for two years running.
