Visit Uncle Wing and savor food just like your mom, or uncle in this case, made it. Staying with this topic, something my relatives love to make is fried rice. As a matter of fact, Uncle Wing serves amazing beef fried rice. After eating this, I can't go back to eating just regular rice. :P As long as we're talking about beef, you have got to try the beef chow fun, which are stir fry rice noodles. This restaurant made the noodle soft and infused it with flavor. I would definitely recommend it. Another dish I really enjoyed was the sweet and sour chicken. This dish was as good as any other sweet and sour chicken(maybe even better...). Before I forget, the service was pretty good too. They didn't keep us waiting too long. To conclude, Uncle Wing is a must visit restaurant if you're looking for magnificent Chinese food.
 As you walk through Novato, you might catch a whiff of freshly baked pastries. This indicates that you are near La Boulange, a French bakery. To start off, the chocolate croissant was really satisfying in my stomach. A flaky crust accompanied with divine chocolate made this pastry the best. Staying on the croissant theme, I would recommend the almond croissant for the non-chocolate lovers. I also really enjoyed the vanilla napoleon. With delicious crust and vanilla cream on each layer, this pastry is something you definitely want to get. In fact, it tastes better when it is chilled, especially the creamy parts. Lastly, there are two other treats I would like to name, the berry galette and the croquets. In case you didn't know, croquets are hard cookies with almonds. To sum it up, La Boulange is a awesome bakery that serves more awesome and not to mention, fresh pastries. Should I tell you the rubber band pun? Never mind, it's kind of a stretch.
Where can you find absolutely delicious pizzas, burgers, and pasta? At Toast, they serve all these dishes and more. Before anything, I really enjoyed their chicken sausage crepe. This dish had sausage, cheese, and red bell peppers and was full of tastiness. I think everything tastes better with in a crepe. In fact, the lamb burger is also a great dish that I would recommend. With a Moroccan flavor and a enjoyable bun, this lamb burger is unforgettable. Also, the spaghetti and meatballs was yet another highlight of the meal. Even though it was more of a classic dish, the spaghetti and meatballs did not disappoint. Not only does Toast have great entrees but also appetizers. Honestly, I thought the Toast Cobb salad is one of the best salads Toast serves. Since it was a Cobb salad, there was boiled eggs, bacon, blue cheese, and so on, which made it all the more appealing. All in all, Toast is a 4.4 star restaurant that serves classic and creative American dishes.
Garden Bistro is a trip to the Mediterranean and back with its flavorful Greek and other Mediterranean dishes. To begin with, you should try the appetizer sampler platter. This appetizer contained pita bread with two different dipping sauces and not to mention, they had falafels. Plus, I really enjoyed their paella, which is risotto accompanied with clams and shrimp. Garden Bistro was able to infuse pretty good flavor in that paella. However, the roasted chicken was a salt bomb, which isn't good at all. I'm glad my sister ordered that and not me because I would not recommend it. In my opinion, the loaded burger is the star of their menu. It had caramelized onion and cheese along with the regular, delicious meat and bread. If these two dishes don't appeal to you(which I find it really hard to believe...), try the New York steak. Sometimes the classic is still popular. To wrap it up, Garden Bistro is a great representation of the marvelous Mediterranean food there is in the world. I visited La Farine again and I'm just adding on to my older post. First of all, as I have said before La Farine's fruit tarts are the absolute best. This time, I ordered the blackberry/apple tart and the strawberry/blackberry tart. For me, the strawberry tart was the best, especially because there was cream on top of the flaky crust. In addition, I really enjoyed the chocolate covered elcair. This was filled with whipped cream and raspberries. Once again, La Farine is an amazing bakery with many, many choices of pastries, tarts, and more.

 As a great place to go with your friends and family, this Chinese restaurant serves real delicious food that you'll want to keep eating. In case you were wondering, this restaurant is known as China Village. China Village has a lot of different Chinese styled dishes like the pulled pork. This dish came with tofu and vegetables, and not to mention a lot of flavor. In addition to that, I really enjoyed the thousand chili fish soup. The fish, being really soft and tender, with the kinda spicy soup is just right. As a matter of fact, they even put noodles in there. If you're with other people, this is an awesome dish to share. With all this excellent food, China Village is definitely a 4 star restaurant. |
