We stumbled upon the Koreatown of LA and decided to try this place. It was a great idea because the concept behind this restaurant was unlike anything I had ever tried before. The food they serve here are bowls of spicy assortments. We ordered Set C with fishcakes, noodles, fried veggies and calamari. The spicy seasoning they use is super flavorful and left me wanting more. It had a hint of sweet with heat. We ordered the mild and that was plenty spicy for us. The bowls also come with a swirl of mozzarella melted over it. That's a good addition because it adds some sweetness to the meal. Set C also came with rice balls, which were great to soak up the spiciness. For a larger rice ball, the jumbo tuna mayo rice ball is yummy. It's just like the ones I ate and loved in Taiwan. My meal at Yup Dduk La was very yummy and made me sweat, but that's good because I sweated out my toxins haha.

Good morning LA! I woke up very excited to go to the area of Little Taipei and eat a Taiwanese breakfast. The Taiwanese knows how to do breakfast! With buns, sandwiches, and donuts, it's a feast to fuel you for the rest of the day. Hmm where to start? Well I really liked Four Sea's Taiwanese burgers or gua baos. The combo of fluffy bun, tender meat, pickled veggies, and peanuts is enough to make you salivate. Another type of sandwich is the shao bing. This is a more crisp bread with beef and pickled veggies inside. Moving aside from sandwiches, most people like drinking milk in the morning. Taiwan is no different. A crucial part of Taiwanese breakfast is soy milk. And what better to dip in soy milk than a Chinese donut? You'll become a morning person just to wake up and eat a Taiwanese breakfast. I sure did.
![]() We met up with friends after we arrived in LA, and since they were vegetarians, we went to Soy Tofu. Soy Tofu has a great vegetarian selection. My vegetarian friends really like the tofu in the clay pots and the veggie dumplings. But first, they served us banchan, the small Korean appetizers. I loooove banchan, especially the fish cake and noodles. Since we were in a Korean restaurant, we had to order the seafood pancake and black bean noodles. Those are some of my favorite Korean dishes. The black bean noodles are an acquired taste and if you don't like them, well then more for me :) A dish I didn't enjoy was the beef bibimpap. There was a very small amount of beef to be found in the dish. To conclude the meal, they had free ice cream that you could serve yourself. There really is no better way to end the meal than with ice cream. Los Angeles is a magical place full of sunshine, beaches, and of course, yummy food. While we were visiting LA, I discovered a lot of Taiwanese cuisine. There even was a Little Taipei near where we stayed. It was awesome, a mini Taiwan in California! In addition to eat, we also sunbathed at the beaches and went shopping. For all my swimmers out there, the one and only Jolyn store is in LA. I went and it was swim suit heaven. They had all the colors of the rainbow and patterns I had never seen before. What can I say? In la la land, there's a little something for everyone.
Signed, Cute Diner If someone asked for Eduardo's summed up in one phrase, I would say 'homemade herb bread'. Their bread is amazing. You have to try it in some form, whether it be a sandwich or a side of toast. Their half and half combo is great to try two different dishes. With their homemade herb bread, all of their sandwiches are delicious. As for their soups, they have some unique flavors, such as banana squash and Mexican chicken fiesta. I especially like the Mexican chicken fiesta because there's hominy, which is a type of Mexican corn that is amazing. For the combo, you can also order a slice of quiche. The Lorraine quiche is great with little bits of crisp bacon as a surprise. If you want a brunch dish, I would recommend Eduardo's pancakes or omelettes. Super yummy. And their homemade herb bread... you should order that as a side. It's the best :)
