Based on the world-wide bestseller, Divergent, this movie is set in dystopian Chicago. Beatrice Prior, known as Tris, has to make a choice that will determine the rest of her future. First of all, this population is divided into five factions, Dauntless(the brave), Abnegation(the selfless), Erudite(the smart), Candor(the truthful), and Amity(the peaceful). With her family already living in Abnegation, Tris isn't sure to go with her family or go with who she really is and wants to be. On the day of simulations to tell you what faction you belong in, Tris finds out that she's Divergent and doesn't belong in any faction. In all factions, they have a rule that states " faction before blood", but what rules apply to you when you don't belong in any?

You may may have heard of the movie, Gravity. It's a drama starring Sandra Bullocks and George Clooney. Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullocks) who goes up to space to fix a satellite, supervised by Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney), an experienced astronaut. Space debris from another satellite leaves Ryan and Matt alone in space with no communication. There will be sacrifices and challenges. With little oxygen and space debris circling the earth every 90 minutes, Ryan and Matt have to make it to a Chinese space station before it's too late. However in space, you can't call for help and once you're off spinning in space, you'll never stop.
Ender's Game was once a book and now it's a movie. Personally, I loved the sci-fi themed book. It was really adventurous and thrilling. Since the movie came out, I decided to watch the movie and it was one of the best sci-fi movies ever! Let me give you a quick summary. Ever since the aliens invaded and were defeated, citizens on Earth have been preparing for them to strike again. They do this by training young geniuses in military schools, in hopes that one of them will be their victorious leader. Andrew Wiggins, Ender for short, is a strategic kid, who gets sent to military school and meets more enemies than friends. The leaders think Ender's the "one", but are they willing to risk it all for a young boy? |
