So I recently discovered an awesome Caribbean restaurant in down town San Rafael called Whipper Snapper. I heard about this restaurant from a friend and she recommended the chicken skewers. As a result, I ordered that. It was super yummy with a tender inside and slightly charred outside. I'm glad Whipper Snapper slathered the peanut sauce all over because that sauce was amazing. With a combo of the peanut sauce, crunchy jicama, and chicken on a stick, the chicken skewers are an unforgettable dish. However, an appetizer we ordered called the Cuban cigars was just regular. It was the only dish that didn't stand out during my visit there. I wouldn't recommend ordering this dish, but you should definitely try to jerk chicken. This dish will definitely spice up your life with succulent chicken rubbed with Jamaican spices. The jerk chicken also comes with a side of rice, beans, and my personal favorite, plantains. After a deliciously satisfying meal at Whipper Snapper, I can't wait to go back to eat there again and again and again :)
