Don Julio's was the first place I tried pupusas and it changed my life. Pupusas are a Salvadoran treat made with masa and usually stuffed with cheese. They're served with cortido, which is a tangy slaw to counterbalance the fatty cheese. I had never tried this dish before, so I ordered it when I saw it on the menu. I'm so glad I did because these pupusas are amazing! They have a nice sear on the outside and the cheese and beans were nice and gooey inside. I ordered the pupusas revueltas, which came with beans. The other dishes we tried here was the quesadilla and the carnita enchiladas. These dishes were pretty good, but not as delicous as the pupusas. There's a reason Don Julio's name has pupusas in it. You'll never regret ordering their pupusas. The only regret you'll have is wishing you had ordered more :P
