So you probably want to read about the food so here it is. For the appetizers, we chose the potato and onion soup and the charcuterie. In case you don't know, the charcuterie is fresh heirloom tomatoes and italian meats mixed with an arugula salad. However, I didn't order that, I ordered the potato and onion soup. It was very creamy and the additional salmon pieces on top were very thoughtful. Onto entrees, since my family is composed of four people, we got one of each entree. The entrees were the lanroc farms pork chop, columbia river steelhead, pappardelle pasta, and the roasted mad hatcher half chicken. The pork chop was super tender and there was a lot of it too. Plus, the steelhead was very fresh and kinda reminded me of salmon. Wait, someone just told me that it is in fact salmon. Well then... The pasta was very cheesy (just the way I like it) and the mushrooms contributed a nice texture and flavor. Lastly, the chicken was the highlight of my meal. It was uber tender and the chicken skin was wonderfully seasoned. The fingerling potato mash at the bottom was also excellent. I tried to pair a bite of chicken and a scoop of mashed potato with every bite. Finally, it was time for dessert. Once again, we ordered all the types of dessert. The meyer lemon polenta cake was very light and fluffy. I enjoyed the addition of the berries. Lecōsho also had house-made chocolate gelato and lemon sorbet. I thought the chocolate chips in the gelato were unnecessary. They were too hard and small for any flavor. In addition to that, the maple pot de creme was the best. With a very smooth texture and outstanding flavors, the maple pot de creme was my favorite even though I didn't order it. Now some other stuff, I thought the staff was friendly but how fast the food was served was not as fast as it should be. But I'm pretty sure because this restaurant is always filled with people. All in all, Lecōsho is a fabulous restaurant with amazing meals.
Last night, we decided to go to Lecōsho for dinner. It just so happened that it was the last day of restaurant week in Seattle and Lecōsho was one of the participating restaurants. The special thing about Seattle Restaurant Week is that you can get a full meal (appetizer, entree, dessert) for $30. Amazing right! But don't worry if you've just now heard of the deal and want to go. From April 19-23 is another Seattle restaurant week . To bad I'll be already gone by then. :(
