I recently discovered that the Taipei Train Station is a lot more than just a regular old station for trains. This train station actually has a loooooot of restaurants and little food shops, which have Japanese cheesecake, tarts, and more. My family was going on a three hour train to Pingtung to visit some family there. We planned to take the train during lunchtime. As a result, we had to buy some lunch at the Taipei Train Station. Luckily for us, this train station has lunches made especially for eating on a moving train. I bought the pork train lunch. As you can see in the picture, the whole meal of pork, veggies, and rice is stored in a nice container. This makes this dish durable and easy to eat on a train. So then when lunch time came around while I was riding the train, I just grabbed my octagonal lunch container and ate from there. The piece of pork provided was very big and flavorful and I liked the addition of a boiled egg. It was a pretty yummy lunch to eat on the train. To conclude, if you're ever taking a train at the Taipei Train Station, don't eat before you go there because there are many restaurants to satisfy your hunger.
